Back to our events, coming up fast is “Dancing with Champions” a brand new all-inclusive dance camp offered at Club Med Sandpiper at Port St. Lucie, Florida January 24-31, 2010, near West Palm Beach. If laid back is more your style, this dance camp teaches rumba, samba, cha cha, waltz, and swing with personalized instruction from world champions in the atmosphere of a fine resort with French roots. The best part is that the dancing, accommodations, meals, all alcoholic beverages and other resort amenities are included in the package price of $140 pp/nt.
Other dances featured by participating top instructors include foxtrot, merengue, hustle, quickstep, salsa, jive, bolero, paso doble, Viennese waltz, American and Argentine tango. The themed weekend also offers guests live entertainment including a salsa band, and “Dancing with Our Champions” live performance. All instructors are top U.S. rhythm, ballroom, swing, and hustle champions, so this camp is sure to be exciting for beginners and seasoned dancers alike. About 350 guests are expected to attend this event.
Evening highlights include plenty of dancing, live music, dance demonstrations, and various dance themes including salsa and merengue. Dance hosts are available for single ladies and men. Daily dance classes include stretching, aqua zumba in the pool, zumba toning, and various styles of dance classes (TBA). In addition to dance, the resort offers yoga, golf, water sports, a fitness center, tennis, volleyball, archery, soccer, award winning children’s programs and flying trapeze.
There are no vendors selling at this dance camp, but guests will have full use of resort facilities. Unique to this dance camp is the emphasis on enjoying an active, social vacation, full children’s program fro 4 months to 17 years old and food quality. The resort features a healthy array of food options from which guests can choose. And note that complete resort activities are part of the all-inclusive package.
